These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Bloomsbury website and the publishing-related services we offer. By accessing our site or requesting services, you agree to these Terms.
1. About Our Services
Bloomsbury provides author support services such as ghostwriting, editing, proofreading, formatting, illustrations, and cover design. Service details, timelines, and pricing are confirmed in a separate quote or agreement before work begins.
2. Eligibility
You confirm that you are at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and that you have the legal authority to enter into these Terms and any related service agreement.
3. Quotes, Payments, and Scope
- Quotes are based on the information you provide and may change if project scope changes.
- Payment schedules, if any, will be outlined before work starts.
- Work begins only after agreed terms and required payments (if applicable) are confirmed.
4. Your Content and Responsibilities
You are responsible for the accuracy of materials you submit and for ensuring you have the rights to share that content with us. You agree not to submit unlawful, infringing, or harmful material.
5. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise agreed in writing:
- You retain ownership of your original manuscript and author content.
- Deliverables created specifically for your project are transferred according to the service agreement once agreed payments are complete.
- Website design, branding, and non-project materials remain the property of Bloomsbury.
6. Revisions and Approvals
Revision rounds and approval points depend on the selected service package. Additional revisions beyond the agreed scope may require updated timelines or fees.
7. No Guarantees of Publication Outcome
We provide professional publishing support, but we do not guarantee bookstore placement, bestseller ranking, sales results, or acceptance by any third-party publisher or platform.
8. Acceptable Use of the Website
You agree not to misuse the website, attempt unauthorized access, disrupt site operation, or use our forms for spam or unlawful purposes.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bloomsbury is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of the website or services. Our total liability for any claim related to a project is limited to the fees paid for that specific service, unless otherwise required by law.
10. Cancellation
Cancellation terms depend on project stage and the written agreement for your service. Work already completed may remain billable.
11. Privacy
Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.
